Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Climate Change and Food Web Ecology


Scholarships Italian Candidates must be able to demonstrate ability to work independently in remote field locations. A strong track record of producing high impact peer-reviewed publications have demonstrated in the application. Training can also be given where necessary and there will be opportunities to attend international conferences.

A Scholarships Italian postdoctoral research fellow sought with an interest in climate change and ecological food web. The successful applicant will use various techniques, including: an empirical survey, field and laboratory experiments and mathematical models to measure how environmental warming affects the structure and dynamics of stream food webs at different levels of organization, from individuals to ecosystems.
This Scholarships Italian post will work under the primary supervision of Dr. Guy Woodward (QMUL), and also worked with Co-PI Dr. Dan Reuman (Imperial College London) as part of a wider collaborative effort by various international experts, including Dr. Owen Petchey (University of Zurich). http://www.callforpapersinfo.com

This is, three years full-time position, funded by the UK Natural Environment Research Council starting in July 2011 or as soon as possible after that. Starting salary is £ 42,029 per annum including London allowance.Scholarships Italian Benefits include 30 days annual leave and pension final salary schemes.
